A Message from the Brewer
Praise the sun! Energizing solar return. Recharging body and mind. What better to pair with such jubilation than our annual vernal equinox release, Solar Recharger Hazy DIPA ripe with juicy mandarin orange, tropical candy and luscious mouthfeel.
Brewed with a base of Pilsen malt, wheat malt and oat malt. This incredibly saturated DIPA was hopped with Motueka and Citra Incognito on the hot side and dry-hopped with Motueka and Eclipse hops and Eclipse terpenes to layer in waves of juicy hop flavor. Fermented with American East Coast Yeast to give notes of drippy peach and citrus.
Rejoice and surrender to the awesome power of our home star. This tasty lil’ number will be available on tap and to-go from our taproom this Friday, March 21.

Tonight is our monthly FREE Book Swap! This month, let someone tell you their life story and choose from a selection of memoirs and biographies! Bring an oldie but goodie that you’re ready to part with, and grab something new to you! As always, we’ll have a table set up with books for the youths, as well, and a gigantic “thank you” to our friends at Forget-Me-Not Books for supporting this fun, free event!

In just a couple of short weeks, we’ll welcome another returning artist to our taproom for First Friday! Join us on Friday, April 4 as Kassandra Mirosh (Weyekin Studio) debuts new works at our taproom! ICYMI Kassandra’s avian-inspired pieces are crazy intricate and made from folded, carefully cut paper for gorgeous effects and unique additions to your home collection. Come by now to enjoy Zoe Marshall’s work, and swing back in April for Kassandra!

TODAY (March 19), you can catch BSBC head brewer Carey Fristoe at Palmer Alehouse for our annual tap takeover! You can bet your britches that there will be a fine spread of Black Spruce flagships and new releases on tap, and Carey will be happy to tell you all about what we’ve got coming up next!
We’re delighted to welcome another of our favorite returning artists for April’s First Friday! On Friday, April 4, Kassandra Mirosh of Weyekin Studio will join us as our featured artist for the month! Kassandra specializes in incredibly intricate and detailed paperworks, often featuring Alaska’s native birds. Kassandra’s work will be on display and available for sale all month long.
The Fairbanks Sensory-Friendly Social Club will host its next Caregiver Connection with us on Saturday, April 12 from 2PM to 4PM. All are welcome to this relaxing and fun get-together!
Wanna try a bunch of rad beers for a good cause that our friends and us brewed? Swing by Palmer Alehouse on Wednesday, April 23 from 6PM to 8PM for the Brewers Guild of Alaska’s Tap Into Change Tap Takeover, featuring collaboration beers from across Alaska brewed to benefit the guild and its work!
